Chakra is the only NYC restaurant that makes Jain friendly Drunken Noodles. In fact we haven't been able to find a single other restaurant in the U.S. that makes homemade Jain friendly drunken noodles. There are several wide rice noodle manufacturers in NYC, however all of them follow traditional recipes which use potato startch or tapioca in addition to rice flower. At Chakra we make our wide rice noodles for Drunken Noodles using a proprietary recipe that uses corn starch instead of potato flour or tapioca, resulting in fresh noodles that are 100% Jain friendly.
